"I like the line "the dusts we came from". You are wondering about what's to come after this life but you are not going to dwell on it. Because we can't really understand anyway. Lovely work "
At night, sometimes I wonder
How alone we truly are
Or if we're truly that
One in a million odds
At night, at look at the stars
And think of all the possibilities
The odds we've favored
And what others favor them
Sometimes I look to the stars
And wonder if we'll see beyond that
Beyond what we've been given
Or if we'll meet the dusts we came from
Trying to gain a fruitless understanding
Of what we can't understand

This poem is one of those types of poems that whilst reading it, it makes you think deeply. It takes you into a place where you actually assess your own life. Very few poems can do that and THIS is one of them! Well done.
P.s. Be sure to check out some of my stuff. I have two books posted. All feedback is welcome and appreciated.
