Life for me really began at 16 when I was marched (strong-armed) to the mine office and thus began my exposure to the outside world and life as an adult.

Surviving the initial shock and dangers of mining, speckled with some exposure to other industries and manufacturing plants during my career, I can, today, reflect and say that was some journey.

I always was available to chat with people, regardless of their race, religion, social status, or political stripes. Every person has their own story or experience to share, sometimes it’s insightful, intelligent, colourful, and sometimes dark. Difficult at times to listen to some of the revelations, it helped unburden a person here and there along my way.

My works and musings capture and encapsulate some of my life journey. My favourite place is the Yukon along with the Western Arctic and Baffin Island. But truthfully, I saw nature's beauty in every landscape that I happened upon. Born and raised in County Wicklow, blessed with picturesque scenery, renowned for mining, milling and movies but that doesn’t feed a family and thus the need to migrate and grow
