Mystery of the Fountain

Intro-There were four friends, Davidson, Jaysean, Deepika and Janifer. They were good friends. They were of the same age as well. Davidson’s and Jaysean’s house were near to the school. One day while they were going back to their house; after doing their homework, both Davidson and Jaysean raced to the football ground near their school to play. Jaysean brought his new football.

Davidson kicked the ball with enthusiasm; the ball flew above Jaysean’s head and straight away fell in a pitch at the corner of the ground. Davidson ran to the pitch, and put his hand in the pitch, the only thing he could feel was water rushing with pressure but he couldn’t find the ball. He searched for a long time. He then removed his hand told to Jaysean “Hey dude, I am sorry I will buy you a new football” Jaysean replied “It’s OK! Man I will buy another one after two months”. Then they went back home. And did the left works.

The next day they all met at school’s main gate. They were talking about how they lost the ball. Deepika said “I lost my bracelet in a pitch near the football ground; I think it is the same pitch”. Davidson said “This is a mystery”. Then the bell rang loudly and they left for their classes. At the recess Davidson and Jaysean were standing near the fountain of their school. Davidson was watching the other children playing while Jaysean was staring at a football just like his and a bracelet in the fountain water. Jaysean called Davidson and asked him to see the unbelievable moment. Davidson leaned as near to the water and picked up the football and the bracelet. Jaysean was sure that it was his ball but they were not sure if the bracelet was Deepika’s. So they took it to Deepika to ask whether if it was hers. She took a glance at it and found her name craved on it. She said that it was hers. She thanked both of them. Davidson was still thinking; how did the ball and the bracelet reach there? Janifer answered “It is a mystery which has to be surely solved by us”. And the other three muttered yes, excitedly.

The next day Davidson started the investigation earlier as the others were late. When they arrived, Janifer and Deepika complained that Jaysean was the one who made them late. Jaysean said that it was not his problem; he was searching for his shovel. Davidson said that it would become useful sometime. Davidson asked Janifer to throw a pen in the pitch; she threw a pen and asked what should I do next? Davidson told Janifer and Deepika to run to the fountain and find whether pen was there. They both raced to the fountain and found that the pen was already floating on the water. Janifer was a bit amazed. She thought “how could the pen reach there before they reached there?” Janifer took the pen and found that it was the same pen. They both ran back to the boys. Davidson and Jaysean had already found something else; they found that below the pitch water was flowing with pressure. So Deepika understood that the pen came there with a speed because when they put the pen in the pitch the pressure of the water led it to the fountain. So Jaysean said “Lets dig the place up”. Davidson said “Are you mad to dig the place without the permission of the principal?’’. But first let’s dig and then we will tell it to the principal. The time came when they had to use the shovel Jaysean had brought. So they dug it up and found a large hole in a big pipe and found that water was flowing with pressure. So they suspected that the pipe was leading to the fountain. To confirm whether it was the same pipe leading to the fountain, Deepika put the same pen in the hole and asked Davidson and Jaysean to report back. They both went and came back with pen. They said “It is confirmed that this is the pipe leading to the fountain. So they were sure that somebody had made this hole with a purpose. This made them more curious. So Janifer said that from this we can understand that a person has made this to transport things to the other person. After knowing this Davidson cleared the place and made it back to normal so that the person would not understand that somebody had dug the place.

For the next few days they did not get any clue. After a week, Davidson went walking to the fountain with a little hope left in him. He saw a small paper floating on the fountain water. He took it and unfolds it, he saw some signs but they were not so clear. So he took it home and put it in the sunlight. It became dry but he could not understand it was written in signs. He knew that Janifer learnt signs and he was sure that she could decipher it. The next day Davidson took the slip of paper to Janifer and asked her to decipher it. She deciphered it within no time. She read it aloud so that Deepika and Jaysean could hear it “Today at 7 pm, I will send a waterproof bag with gold and a check, from Jacky”. Jaysean took it to the principal and showed him the letter and the translation. He said “We must report this to the police”. Janifer said “No Sir, we must catch the man first”. “But what can we” do asked the Sir. Davidson said “We shall fit two small cameras, one near the hole and one near the fountain and activate it at 6:55 pm. The principal did everything just as the children said. That evening at sharp 6:55 pm Jaysean went and activated both the cameras. After five minutes they saw a man running towards the hole and put a bag into it and he ran away and then the principal and the other four children ran to the window near the fountain. There they saw an unbelievable seen; they saw the security of the school taking the bag. “Oh My God” shouted the principal. The principal called the police. The police came in a few seconds, but it was a little late. The security had already hid it in the room and he ran away. The police searched the security’s room. But they couldn’t find it. The police went to the principal’s room and asked the principal “Sorry for asking you but still I have to ask you this because this is my duty, anyway lets come to the point; do u have any proof the security taking the bag?” Davidson answered “Yes!” the police said to him “Mind your own business. ” Davidson felt sad and weird. The principal said to the police immediately “What the boy said was right. And then he told about the whole story. Then Davidson and the others went to the place where they had fit the cameras and took out the memory card and the tape. They took it to the principal’s room and put the tape in the disk drive of the principal’s computer. They saw the gate opening slowly and saw a man looking to all the sides and went near to the pitch and took out a bag from under his t-shirt and put it in the pitch. And then he ran out of the gate. Then they insert the second tape which focused the fountain. In that tape; the security stood near the fountain and was acting as he was guarding the school. Then he slowly dipped his hand in the water and took out the bag carefully and ran into his room. And then the tape went off. Jaysean said “That’s when u people came and then the security ran away.” The police said to them that if they get any clue they must inform the police. And then the cops left. The children said to the principal “Sir can we open the room?” the principal said “Of Course. ” They all Rushed near to the guard’s room. The door was locked. And then Janifer studied the whole building. The only way inside was the windows on the top of the small building; to climb that only one was brave it was none other than Deepika. But there was no ladder or a rope for climbing. Thus, Davidson found a way. Make a human pyramid. Davidson and Jaysean made the lower base of the pyramid and Janifer stood on the shoulders of the boys. And then Deepika climbed over the three of them and leaped into the window a loud crash was heard and then the room’s door was opened by Deepika and the three of them went inside. They investigated the place for a long time. After a long time, Jaysean found a small door near the air-conditioned. Davidson went to the principal and asked him for a flashlight. The principal gave him four flashlights for each. Davidson and Jaysean turned on their flashlight and entered the small door. While the girls waited outside. Jaysean was in the front. He found a small bag at one end of the small tunnel. Jaysean reached his hand to the bag and grabbed it. And then they struggled out of the tunnel and took the bag of gold to the principal. The principal called the police. The police came in a few seconds as they were doing their duty near the school. The principal handed over the bag to the police. The police kept in the police car and asked the children to show him where they found the bag. The children showed them the small door near the air – conditioner. The police took the evidence and the fingerprints from the bag. They traced two fingerprints one was the school guard’s and the other was Jacky’s, the person who put the bag in the pitch. The police thanked the children for their help. The police soon caught the school guard and Jacky. The next week the four children were honored by the principal, school management, students, teachers and the police department. The children got award and praises from the government as well. The children later formed a group known as DJ. And this is now a famous group. To read more of their adventures and mysteries keep on waiting.
