My lad said his friends think I'm scary

But overall I'm quite contrary

They may think I look like a thug

with Japanese tattoos and an ear plug

Don't judge a book by its cover

Chat to me and you’ll discover

I’m not what I appear to be

I read literature and write poetry

Just my thoughts and what I view

Sometimes with a twist or two

I wear my heart on my sleeve

You take me as I am or leave

Working class, good and true

Law abiding , friendly too

A Yorkshire man happily wed

size XXL with a shiny head
