A poem of love

My tears can not flow

For that right was taken from me

The moment I laid my eyes on you,

Indeed, My Lord said 'Beware of your heart!'

Still, I heeded not what was spoken to me,

I fought the endless waves of twirling winds

That attempted to steal me away

To a farther place where there was no you,

But the heart was just too stubborn

It would not let go,

My chest was heavy as the world,

Clinging to each other we whispered

'No one else can separate us.'

I heard my own blood blaming you

For the sufferings I had to endure,

I kept their words inside my torn heart,

Day and night I prayed for you and me,

For His forgiveness and we be released

Of His wrath---That we should be forever,

Foolish I had been to ask for forever!

Knowing that only He is eternal,

And with a jealous heart

He stroked his hand

And turned my world around

This was what He said

'My lover is mine and I am his.'

To this He buried his hand

Deep within my chest,

Grasped my pounding heart

As if to stop it from beating

And painfully pulled it out of me

For His keeping.
