I'm a late entrant to the world of writing, found I really enjoy it after being prompted to join following an Adult Ed class through a local university.

My favorite books and stories are those that have -

- great writing that causes me to reread selected paragraphs just for their poetry

- interesting multi-dimensional characters, people I'd like to know, or at least have a beer with - whether protagonists or antagonists

- interesting story

- teaches me something - about a historical period, subject matter, or myself
