A lament on profound loss and a life left unwhole.

When you died

You left me behind

I could not feel

Losing you so real

My best friend no more

I am alone forever more

The silence of your voice

Was never my choice

Your gentle kind spirit

Makes my heart twilit

Not a word in anger

You were my anchor

You took half my soul

Leaving me unwhole

Very interesting, very mystical I liked the phrase "You took half my soul leaving me unwhole". Remained me the story written by Robert Graves "The Shout" where the souls were disassembled
