I don’t watch animation. I don’t have kids.
Short Story / Flash Fiction
Two friends debate the merits of animation. Is it only for kids? Or is there something more dark and sinister in the cartoons we watch? Watch the creation of the story: https://youtu.be/Yy3HjJTARNY Read More

Flash Fiction Freakout!
Spotlight
I've been posting a lot of flash fiction recently. I have been giving myself a weekly prompt, which I then challenge myself to write 300-500 story from. I've also been filming this experiment and posting the insanity on YouTube. Follow me @GuenevereLee
Award-Winning Fiction
I laugh a lot when I use those words to describe my writing - but it's not a lie! Two of my stories have won first place in the wonderful contests Booksie holds:
"Connor" a short story about an android who has become self-aware after spending hundreds of years in solitude on a space station. Their world is upended though when a group of pirates find the station.
"What would you look for with the James Webb Telescope?" is a very short flash fiction with a very long name. A young university student ponders this question while the boy behind her won't take a hint.
Orope - The White Snake was short-listed when it came out, so be sure to check that out if you love the Bronze Age and historical fantasy!

About
I mostly write sci-fi and fantasy, since that's what grabs my attention, but I dabble in the occassional literary short story. I've won a couple short story awards, and published a couple books, but the thing I'm most proud of is my mother telling me my writing was: "better than I thought it would be." I don't take things too seriously, and I'm sarcastic to a fault. Welcome to my writing, stick around for a short story or two while you enjoy your tea.
