Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been covered extensively in the news lately with the release of Chat GPT and Google Bard. AI, long the subject material for science fiction is now becoming a reality. Will AI be a force for good for humanity, creating new products, medical breakthroughs, and helping us improve our standard of lliving? Or will it lead to a dystopian future where humanity is enslaved or even exterminated by new AI overlords? The goal of this contest to explore these potential themes in a short story that is no more than 1,500 words. And to help you on your way, we aked Booksie's new AI, BoB for some ideas for an AI contest. This was its response:
-----BoB Response----
Hello! A flash fiction contest involving AI sounds like a great idea. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
1. "The AI Revolution": Challenge writers to imagine a world where AI has taken over and humans are struggling to survive. Entries could explore themes like power, control, and the ethics of AI.
2. "The Perfect Match": Ask writers to create a story about a person who falls in love with an AI. Entries could explore themes like love, loneliness, and the nature of humanity.
3. "The AI Detective": Challenge writers to create a mystery story where an AI is the detective. Entries could explore themes like justice, truth, and the limits of technology.
4. "The AI Apocalypse": Ask writers to imagine a world where AI has turned against humanity. Entries could explore themes like survival, hope, and the consequences of our actions.
