Trapped in a web of deception, the speaker clings to the illusion of change as time slips away. A mask of beauty hides something far more sinister, its poison sinking deep, twisting reality beyond recognition. Shackled by unseen chains, they whisper promises to themselves, promises they may never keep. But as the walls close in and the facade begins to crack, one question remains: Will they escape… or be lost forever?

Time is ticking…

An angel in disguise,
You sit on a throne of lies.
A devil lurks behind your grace,
With beauty masking foul disgrace.
Like shadows fleeing from the day,
Your twisted words won’t fade away.
A puppet now, I'm in your clasp,
Just a toy within your grasp.

Time is ticking…

Your voice so smooth, a siren’s call,
It pulls me in...I start to fall.
But when the truth tears through the mist,
It stabs my back in cruelest ways.
Your poison spreads through every vein,
Twisting thoughts to fit your game.
You shape the world with cold desire,
While I am lost within the fire.

Time is ticking…

A beast in chains, put on display,
Forced to obey, my spirit betrayed.
You are the wall I cannot break,
And I, too weak to challenge fate.
Your tears, they weigh upon my chest,
Yet still, I dream you’ll change, be blessed.

Time is ticking…

But every day, the walls close tight,
The curse grows stronger, snuffing light.
I beg the spell to break apart,
For someone else to mend my heart.
For hands to tear away the lies,
To wake me from this dark disguise.

Time is ticking…
