The weather in northern California is unforgivably brutal. The western shore city of Kingthorn is no exception. Out in the early brisk Monday morning sun stands Danny Velvetoro. He is fourteen years old with a lean build and toned muscles. His cold black hair is styled in a gelled pompadour. His electric blue eyes are as frightening as lightning strikes during a thunderstorm. He is standing on the corner of Kiery Street in the Amory Lotus neighborhood waiting to cross.

He is wearing a black leather jacket, a white t-shirt, tattered blue jeans, and black tennis shoes. His hands are snug in his coat pockets. On his back is a black backpack. After the street clears, he enters the crosswalk.

Minutes later he arrives at Amory Lotus Middle School.

The building is white and stands two stories high. It is surrounded by a gray brick wall with two black cast iron gates at its center. Danny walks through the gates and up the path leading to the school. Upon entering, loud chatter is heard. There are blue lockers on both sides of the hallway. Danny bumps into a girl but ignores her. He makes his way to the cafeteria where he finds solace in the back at a vacant table.

He looks around the cafeteria at the groups of students talking. Danny puts his head down on the gray table. The cold surface table brings refuge to the brooding teen.

Thirty minutes later the bell rang, and all the students seeped out of the cafeteria. Danny heads to his classroom with swiftness. When he arrived, he walked to the back and sat down. He brought out a notebook and a pencil.

He slides it to the edge of his desk and puts his head down.

The classroom has a green chalkboard in front of it. On it are six math algebraic equations. There are four large windows to the left. Along the walls are positive quotes as well as poems and student's birthdays for the month. Danny places his head on the desk and waits for the witch known as Dread to cast its spell. Other students begin entering and taking their seats. Their chatter breathes life into the classroom.

Their teacher Ms. Molina Gromlin enters the room and walks to her desk. She is in her late twenties. She has a caramel complexion with dark brown eyes. Her hair is styled in a bob cut. She is wearing a short-sleeve mint green dress with a white leather belt around her stomach. On her feet is a pair of white stilettos. Around her neck is a pearl necklace. She waits for all the students to quiet down.

"Good morning, everyone, I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I have a math warm-up on the board. I don't expect you to get it right on your first try. However, I do expect you to give your best. I'll walk around and check on everyone." Ms. Gromlin says sweetly in a southern California accent.

Danny immediately lifts his head and starts working on his warm-up. Soon Ms. Gromlin comes to his desk.

"Danny, how are you this morning?" Ms. Gromlin asks softly squatting beside his desk.

 "I'm here," Danny says monotonously.

"You can't take life for granted. You have to live it like it's your last. So how is your math coming along?"

 "I don't understand it,"

"You can't give up. Sometimes you are your own worst enemy. You must have more faith in yourself. Here let me help you execute this equation."

Danny looks down at his paper and attempts to solve the problem. He then shakes his head feeling dizzy.

"I still don't understand Ms. Gromlin." Danny sighs.

"That's okay, what matters is you tried your best." Ms. Gromlin says before leaving his desk.

Danny watches Ms. Gromlin execute an equation on the chalkboard. Feeling dizzy he changes sheets and begins writing a song.

Down in central Kingthorn stands Givens Insurance Inc. It is a gray ten-story building with black tinted windows. Ingrid Goldsteen is on the sixth floor at her desk with a customer going over their policy.

Ingrid is in her mid-thirties. She has pale skin with long blonde hair that is in a large bun. Her eyes are hazel. Her face is made up of red lipstick and black eyeliner. She is wearing a white skirt suit with a champagne gold blouse and white pumps. Her nails have white square tips. She is sitting across from an elderly woman.

The woman has gray hair that is styled in long loose curls. Her face is sunken in and has two moles on both sides of her face. Her eyes are dark green and are filled with loathing. Her thin lips are covered in pink lipstick. She is wearing a brown trench coat, a gray sweater, blue jeans, and knee-high brown leather boots.

"I didn't know my premium had lapsed. I just want to make sure my family is taken care of." the woman says sorrowfully.

"Most certainly, life gets hectic sometimes and we forget things. It happens to all of us."

 "Thank you for understanding."

"It's why I'm here. So how will you be paying your premium today?"

"Cash." the woman says opening her purse.

She counts two-hundred-dollar bills, two tens, and a five. She hands Ingrid the money who counts it.

"You're short a hundred dollars but don't worry I'll take care of the outstanding balance," Ingrid says placing the money inside a drawer.

"Thank you so much." the woman says tearfully.

 "You're welcome."

Ingrid prints off her receipt and hands it to the woman.

"I promise I'll get back on top of this." the woman says getting up and extending her hand.

Ingrid stands up and shakes her hand.

"I know you will I'll see you next month."

The woman leaves her cubicle.

Immediately Ingrid's boss Lisa Givens enters her cubicle. Lisa is in her mid-thirties with a fair complexion. She has long straight dirty blond hair that is pulled down in a low ponytail. Her dark brown eyes are doused in anger and confusion. She is wearing a beige top with dark brown flames on it, a dark brown skirt, and beige pumps. Her face is made up of nude lipstick, black eye shadow, and dark brown eyeliner.

"Goldsteen what was that? You allowed a customer to make a partial payment? You know I don't allow that. That's going to be deducted from your paycheck" Lisa says angrily with her hands on her hips.

"She's an elderly lady who forgot to pay her premium. I'm sure you've had your moments. You have to learn some compassion."

"You had better watch your step and your tone. Don't let it happen again." Lisa scolds before storming off.

Ingrid sighs heavily rolling her eyes.

At Amory Lotus Middle School Ms. Gromlin is at the chalkboard.

"Everyone at this time I will be assigning you a science project. It will be due March 17. You have full reign over what topic you want to do. I will divide you into groups of four. But first I want you to turn your desks towards each other."

The students get up and turn their desks towards the neighboring one.

"When I finish assigning your groups, I want you to find them." Ms. Gromlin says looking around the classroom.

"Danny, Kimberly, and Deena, the four of you will be partners."

The four teens get up and go and find each other. They soon sit down in the middle of the classroom. They all look at each other except for Danny.

"Good morning, everyone I'm Alvin Goldsteen. It's a pleasure to meet you." Alvin says perkily in an Upstate New York accent.

Alvin is thirteen years old. He has a tan complexion with neck-length dirty blonde hair. It is styled in a wet mop cut with a bang covering his left eye. His sea-green eyes are as bright as Florida's Emerald Coast. His lips are bow-tie-shaped. He is wearing a white t-shirt, a long-sleeve beige button shirt over it, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. On his left wrist is a black bracelet. He looks through the group and sees everyone is silent.

"We have to trust each other for this project to succeed," Alvin says coolly looking in between them.

"It's nice to meet everyone I'm Kimberly Bradshaw. Alvin, I can't move on until the jerk across from me apologizes. He bumped into me earlier and kept going." Kimberly quips in a Rhode Island accent.

Kimberly is thirteen years old with ginger hair with accompanying blond streaks. Her eyes are as gold as cornbread. Her robust physique is masked by a white-tented muumuu. On her feet is a pair of suede white go-go boots. Her fingertips are also painted white.

"You were in the way so there's no need for me to apologize," Danny says icily meeting Kimberly's gaze.

"Do you want a knuckle sandwich?!" Kimberly asks rising to her feet.

Danny stands to his feet staring at Kimberly in her golden orbs.

"Come on guys we have to work together, let's find a topic," Alvin says going to stand in between them.

"Whatever," Danny says sitting down and folding his arms.

"You're right," Kimberly says sitting down.

"Good, so we can do dermatology, biology, chemistry, physics. The list is endless." Alvin says chirpily.

"Who wants to do Dermatology?" Alvin asks.

No one lifts their hand to which Alvin nods his head.

 "Biology?" Alvin asks curiously.

Like before no one raises their hand.

"Physics?" Alvin asks hoping his classmates will budge.

"Can we give Chemistry a chance?"

Everyone raises their hands in agreement.

"Ding, ding, ding we have a winner ladies and gentlemen. Who wants to be the recorder?"

"I-I will. I-I'm Deena Tansworth." Deena says shyly in a deep-voiced Arizona accent getting everyone's attention.

A blush immediately stains her cheeks, and she looks down at her desk. Alvin smiles relieved exposing his braces. Deena is thirteen years old with a pale complexion. She has long dark brown hair that is styled in a sleek bun with a brown ribbon. Her eyes are chocolate brown and are guarded by black cat eyeglasses. Her fingernails are painted chocolate brown. She is wearing a fitted sleeveless brown turtleneck dress. Warming her feet is a pair of flat dark brown leather knee-length boots.

"Who's going to be the orator and demonstrator between you two?" Alvin asks looking in between them.

"I love to talk so I'll orate," Kimberly says looking up at Alvin.

"Alright, Danny that leaves you as the demonstrator. I will be the team leader and make sure everything runs smoothly."

When his eyes meet Danny's Alvin sees resistance.

"I will be the leader and you will be the demonstrator." Danny rebuts domineeringly.

"That's fine by me," Alvin says raising his hands.

"After school, we'll go to Merle's Crafts and get the supplies," Danny says authoritatively.

Everyone nods their head and Alvin returns to his seat.

"Deena, make a list of everything we're going to need."

 Deena starts writing.

"This should be interesting," Kimberly says looking Danny in his eyes.

Upon dismissal, the quartet leaves school and begins walking down the sidewalk. Kimberly and Deena are side by side as are Danny and Alvin.

"So, Deena how long have you lived in Kingthorn?" Kimberly asks breaking the forming silence.

"Since January 15, 1960," Deena says meeting Kimberly's eyes.

 "Do you like it here?"

"Yes. It's far more liberal than Tress, Arizona."

"Good. You know I never met anyone as quiet and shy as you."

Deena swallows a lump in her throat.

"I usually don't converse with others but given the circumstances, I'll do my best to improve."

Kimberly smiles before looking off into the distance.

"Ya know I'm glad Ms. Gromlin paired us up. We're total opposites. I think this science project is going to bring us out of our comfort zones." Alvin says happily placing his hands behind his head.

The quartet arrives in the parking lot of Merle's Crafts. Merle's Crafts is a small red brick building with a brown top. On the front, it reads Merle's Crafts in large white cursive. The four teens walk into the establishment. They are welcomed by a temporary breeze and the scent of strawberries and peaches. They soon form a small circle near the entrance.

"Danny and I will get the liquids while you guys get the poster board, border frame, and beakers," Alvin says.

"I thought I made it clear through my eyes that I was the leader," Danny says sharply glaring at Alvin.

"I know and now I'm usurping it from you. I don't want you and Kimberly at each other's throats during the duration of this project."

"Fine just don't expect me to kiss any ass." Danny rebuts coldly storming off.

"Will you two be okay?" Alvin asks curiously.

"Yes. You might want to catch up with the lone wolf." Kimberly jokes and Alvin runs off.

"Alright, Dee let's go get the supplies," Kimberly says as they walk to the cart corral.

 Alvin catches up with Danny.

"So, what's up with you wanting to be the leader so bad?"

 "I don't like feeling powerless."

"We have a little over a month to complete this project. We need as much cooperation as possible." Alvin says as they turn down the liquids aisle.

Alvin picks up food coloring in red, green, yellow, and blue small bottles. They then head off to find the girls. They find them in the plastics aisle. They place their supplies in the cart.

"That didn't take any time," Kimberly says shocked.

"Yeah, we don't need a whole lot," Alvin says.

"Awesome so all we'll need now are the beakers," Kimberly says going to grab several tall ones.

She places them in the cart and the quartet heads to the front of the store. They place their items on the conveyor belt and watch them go down. Once the items are rung up the cashier looks at the quartet.

"Your total is thirty dollars and five cents."

Deena, Alvin, and Kimberly each take out a ten-dollar bill. They place it on the counter. Deena then takes out five cents and tenders it. Afterward, the cashier bags the items which Danny places inside the cart. Finally, the cashier hands Deena the receipt.

"Thank you for shopping at Merle's Crafts. You have a good afternoon."

"You too," Deena says kindly before they leave.

They remove the bags from the cart and start walking down the sidewalk.

"Are any of you excited about how this project is going to turn out?" Alvin asks perkily looking at the others.

"Not in the slightest. As I said earlier, the sooner we finish this the sooner we can resume our lives." Danny says coldly.

"I think this was fate. We were meant to be paired together. Something groovy is going to come from this." Kimberly beams.

"Keep rubbing that LSD-25 on your gums." Danny mocks.

"And while I'm on it I can knock your teeth out too." Kimberly rebuts.

Alvin grabs her hand while shaking his head. Kimberly rolls her eyes and continues their trek to the Amory Lotus neighborhood. Soon the group is standing in front of Kimberly's house.

It is a three-bedroom gray brick bungalow. There are oak trees in front of it. They follow Kimberly to the front door. Kimberly unlocks the door and lets the others inside.

"Mother I'm home," Kimberly says shutting the door.

Her mother Carol comes out of the dining room smiling. Carol is in her late thirties with long black hair that is styled in victory rolls. Her eyes are of a dark blue hue. Her eyebrows are thinly arched. Her face is made up of loose powder, black eyeliner, and red lipstick. She is wearing a white spaghetti-strap shirt, blue jeans, and white slippers.

"Good afternoon sweetheart," Carol says lovingly in a Maryland accent.

"Hi, mother these are my classmates from school," Kimberly says happily looking at them.

"Good afternoon Ms. Bradshaw I'm Alvin Goldsteen. It's a pleasure to meet you." Alvin says extending his hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Alvin."

"I'm D-Deena T-Tansworth." Deena stutters shyly avoiding her eyes.

"It's nice to meet you, Deena," Carol says extending her hand.

Deena shakes her hand finally meeting Carol's blue orbs.

"What is your name, young man?" Carol asks looking into Danny's electric blue irises.

"His name is Danny Velvetoro. He's the silent-loner type." Kimberly says coolly.

"It's nice to meet you, Danny," Carol says extending her hand.

Danny stares at her and keeps his arms folded.

"You can work in the living room. I'll be in my bedroom if you need me." Carol says before walking away.

The teens go to the living room where there's a long gray cotton couch. On it are black and navy-blue pillows. It is situated in front of a large window. The window is veiled by a vanilla cream curtain. Hanging above is a dark brown ceiling fan. In front of the couch is a brown coffee table. Not far from the couch is a pearl-white fireplace. On top are certificates and degrees given to Carol from high school to college. There is also a small black radio at the end. To the left is the dining room.

The dining room is decorated with two diamond chandeliers hovering above the table. The Cherry wood table has six matching chairs.

The four gather teens around a rectangular oak wood coffee table. Kimberly places the beakers. Deena takes out some paper and a pencil. Alvin takes out the food coloring. Kimberly goes to the kitchen for some water.

The kitchen is furnished with current appliances. The refrigerator is white with a curvaceous metal handle. The cabinets are white with dark brown knobs. In the center of the kitchen is an island counter also with cabinets at the bottom. The faucet head is also modern. Kimberly goes to the glassware cabinet and grabs two tall glasses. She fills them with water and returns to the living room. She sets the glasses on the table. She looks in between everyone.

"Okay is everyone ready?" Kimberly asks looking around the table.

Everyone nods their heads except for Danny.

"Alvin pours the water into the beakers." Danny orders looking at the tan-skinned teen.

Kimberly glares at Danny shaking her head.

"You could have asked him nicely." Kimberly scolds.

Danny ignores her and keeps his eyes on Alvin. Alvin pours the water into the beakers. He then adds some of the coloring. Deena observes and takes notes as the water takes a new form.

A rhythm and blues song then begins playing on the radio.

"I miss sweet old Jenny, the libertine jellybean who never asked you for a penny. She had dark brown eyes with long brown tresses. It didn't even matter that she was clumsy or made messes. She was always the kind, loving girl next door. Bubbly and serene down to her core." Alvin sings happily in a smooth flirtatious tenor voice.

Kimberly and Deena look at Alvin surprised by his voice.

"I miss sweet old Jenny, the libertine jellybean who never asked you for a penny. She had dark brown eyes with brown tresses. It didn't even matter that she was clumsy or made messes. She was always the kind, loving girl next door. Bubbly and serene down to her core." Danny sings in a masculine baritone.

"Unknown to the world she had a closet full of internal suffering confessions. Every night she remained a silent prisoner her heart yearned for freedom through chest compressions." Kimberly sings in a jovial colorful soprano.

"Shy Jenny finally found the courage to approach her long-time crush. Once in front of him, her cheeks started to flush. After finding the resolve her mind turned to mush. The brunette thought God had sent his angels to make her hush." Deena belts in a booming guttural contralto.

The others look at Deena shocked and in disbelief. Deena leaves with Kimberly on her trail. Soon Deena and Kimberly are standing in the foyer.

"Hey Deena, are you okay?"

Deena looks at her embarrassed as tears fill her chocolate eyes.

"I've never sung in front of anyone before but for some reason, I can't help myself when that song comes on," Deena says looking away from the copper-haired teen.

"That's okay girl you were dynamite. You made the room shake! I wish I could do that." Kimberly says elatedly.

"You think so?"

"I know so. Any record label would be foolish not to sign you. Now let's go back and finish this project."

Deena smiles and the two return to the living room. Danny and Alvin look at Deena still in shock.

"Where the hell did you learn to sing like that?" Alvin asks excitedly.

"God blessed me with my voice."

"I definitely believe that."

"Let's go ahead and finish the project," Danny says and they resume working.

At eight o'clock Danny is working on the final touches of the poster board. He staples Deena's notes to the board in a zigzag fashion.

Carol comes into the living room wearing a burgundy nightgown. Her hair is in white rollers covered by a black silk bandanna.

She sees the four teens on the couch and smiles warmly.

"Would you guys like to stay for dinner tonight?" Carol asks breaking the silence.

"Oh no, I must get home with the utmost haste. My parents are worried sick." Deena says hurriedly jumping up and putting on her backpack.

"Mine is too," Alvin says standing up and stretching.

Danny grabs his backpack and heads out the front door.

"Thank you so much Ms. Bradshaw for allowing us to inhabit your home. It was a marvelous pleasure." Deena says bowing.

"Thank you for letting us work on our project here Ms. Bradshaw because it was groovy," Alvin says smiling.

"You're welcome, Deena. I just hope that we all can have dinner together sometime." Carol says hopefully.

"I do as well," Alvin says before he and Deena leave.

Once they're gone Carol glances at Kimberly worried.

"We just met. I'm sure they're all just nervous." Kimberly surmises with a smile.

"I think so too. Well, dinner is on the table." Carol says before leaving.

Kimberly takes their poster board and beakers to her bedroom.

Kimberly's bedroom is decorated with psychedelic art and hippie art. Up against the back wall is a full-size white sleigh bed. It is decorated with an orange tie-dye comforter and a purple fitted sheet. On the right side of the bed is a matching nightstand with a lamp. Her matching dresser is resting a few feet away from the door. She places the poster board against her desk. She sets the beakers on her desk and goes into her bathroom to wash her hands.

Alvin is standing in the foyer of his home sighing heavily. There's a brown staircase leading to the second floor. The floors are hardwood with a polished finish. Parallel to the staircase is a hallway that leads to the den. To the left of the foyer is the living room and to the right is the foyer closet. Alvin goes to the living room and plops down on the leather couch.

The living room is decorated with a round black coffee table. On it are magazines. Adjacent to the couch is a matching loveseat. Straight ahead is a brown medium size television sitting on top of a dark brown table. There are four windows to the left which are all decorated in navy blue curtains and gray toppers.

Alvin closes his eyes to clear his mind. When he opens them, he sees his older brother Jason standing in the entryway.

Jason is sixteen years old. He has fair skin with honey-brown eyes. His brown curly hair is styled in a pompadour. His muscular yet slender complements his five feet seven height. He is wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. When he meets Alvin's gaze a disgusted expression stains his youthful features.

"Hey, Jason," Alvin says standing up going towards his brother.

"Don't you come anywhere near me nigger." Jason barks and Alvin freezes.

"That's not what I am and don't you call me that again," Alvin says sternly clenching his fists.

"Oh yes you are and that's all you will ever be!" Jason retorts sharply storming off.

Alvin shakes his head and goes to the dining room where he sees their mother Ingrid at the dining room table.

The dining room is furnished with an oak wood dining room set. Atop the tables are golden plate mats, silverware, and wine glasses.

Ingrid is wearing an ice-white nightgown with her hair in a bonnet. Her face is resting in her palms and she's sobbing. Sadness washes over Alvin as he walks over to the table. He squeezes her shoulder getting her attention. Ingrid sniffles lifting her head.

"Hey sweetheart, how was your day?" Ingrid asks tiredly looking at her son smiling.

"It was groovy. I hope I've made some new friends. We were paired together for a class project. We're like four different points on a compass but I think it'll work out. While we were at Kimberly's house a song came on the radio and we all sang. Everybody's voices are mesmerizing and when we came together to harmonize it was something special. Although it was broken because I don't think any of us ever sang in the choir." Alvin says making Ingrid chuckle.

"I'm glad you're having fun and making friends," Ingrid says before giving her attention back to the table.

Alvin looks down at the table and presses his head against Ingrid's.

"When I become famous, I'm going to take care of you. I'm going to make sure you won't want for anything." Alvin says squeezing Ingrid's shoulder.

"Thank you baby and I believe you will," Ingrid says kissing Alvin's temple.

"I just don't like seeing or hearing you cry.”

"I know this is just a part of being an adult. Hopefully, you won't have to deal with that at this extent." Ingrid says getting up from the table.

"I have your dinner in the microwave," Ingrid says walking to the kitchen.

The kitchen has granite countertops with a beige refrigerator with a metal handle. The cabinets are oak.

Ingrid goes to the steel microwave and opens it. She grabs an aluminum foil-covered plate and hands it to Alvin.

“There's some pineapple soda in the refrigerator for you. Goodnight baby I love you.” Ingrid says before kissing Alvin's forehead.

“I love you too Mom and thank you for setting aside a plate for me," Alvin says returning the affection.

He removes the foil and begins stuffing his mouth with mashed potatoes.

Deena is standing at the front door of her parent's two-story white brick home. The roof is jet-black in color. The front door is black with a silver lock and a silver door handle. She unlocks the door and heads inside.

The foyer has white marble floors with a white grand staircase leading to the second level. The handrail and the baluster are black metal. The stairs themselves are ice-white. The crown molding is also black. Hanging above are diamond chandeliers. Passed the staircase is the kitchen. To the right is the parlor room and to the left is the piano room.

The parlor room is furnished with antebellum-period furniture. There is a beige couch with Cherry wood trim facing a matching couch. In between the two couches is a mahogany coffee table. There is a television behind the second couch. Not far from the couches is a black fireplace. There is a picture of a dirt road with Southern magnolia trees.

The piano room is furnished with a black grand piano in the center. Not far from it rests on a golden harp. A few feet away from the piano is a gray chaise lounge with black trim. There are also four gray cushion chairs facing each other.

Immediately Deena feels a blow to the left side of her face. She hits the wall and slides down holding her stinging face. She begins sobbing before meeting her attacker's eyes. Her mother Chasity Tansworth is standing a few feet away. She is wearing a black terrycloth robe. Her hair is wrapped in a black scarf. Her eyes are hazel and filled with rage.

"What the hell are you doing coming in here so late?" Chasity asks icily.

"I was working on a class project with some classmates. I had lost track of time." Deena confesses fearfully.

"Get your ass upstairs and out of my sight."

Deena gets to her feet and runs upstairs.

Chasity smiles happily before going to her bedroom.

When Deena gets to her room, she shuts the door relieved. Her chocolate brown walls are decorated with quote posters. In the middle of her bedroom is a queen-sized canopy bed. It is decorated with brown curtains, black pillows, and a dark brown comforter and fitted sheet. Along the right wall is a navy blue dresser with a mirror resting on top. Next to the dresser is a large walk-in closet. In it are tennis shoes, dress shoes, kitten shoes and boots.

On the opposite side are a Cherry wood desk, a mahogany bookshelf, and the bathroom. On the desk are a lamp, a brown notebook, and a black plastic utensil cup. On the bookshelf are romance novels, novellas, drama novels, and law books. Inside the bathroom are two sinks, a large makeup mirror, a Jacuzzi, and a stand-in shower. Lastly, there is another closet at the end. Deena goes to her bathroom and turns on the left faucet. She grabs a white towel from a circular ring rack and places the towel under the water.

Meanwhile, she looks at her reflection. She brings out the water and places it against her cheek. She winces slightly as she thinks of her mother. Soon tears escape her eyes as she applies pressure to her wound. She then walks back into her bedroom to her bookshelf. She grabs a romance novel takes it over to her bed and sits down. She opens it up and begins reading it.

Danny is standing on the corner of Kiery Street. He is wearing his outfit from school. As he scours the street a red convertible with a white top pulls along the curb. Danny walks to the car and sticks his head inside the car.

"What kind of time are you looking to have?"

"A spectacular one."

Danny smirks and gets into the car.
