Obax only exists in the dark between the stars, a place that exists outside the world’s memory. No maps have charted its existence. No sailors speak its name.

When an unnatural storm shipwrecks the Miricurios on its shores, they are not with salvation, but monstrous creatures of an unknown folklore, twisted by the island’s madness, prowling in the shifting mists, beholden to a land alive with malevolence. None who arrive are meant to leave.

Joachim, a pragmatic scavenger of no faith, and Bijou, a hardened condottiere who trusts no one, strangers to each other but bound by necessity, must navigate a shifting landscape of horrors. Monstrous creatures of an unknown folklore, twisted by the island’s madness, prowl in the shifting mists, beholden to a land alive with malevolence.

The archipelago does not just test the body. It seeps into the mind, distorting reality and warping memory, until only madness remains. Its purpose is to become a mirror to the darkness within, turning their inner demons into cruel manifestations. It is a realm crafted for torment and survival requires confronting these creatures without and within.

Fragmented journals and scattered memories offer the only cryptic clues that might grant passage beyond this living nightmare. Escape is the goal but it demands a price.

In this desolate crucible, Joachim and Bijou must decide whether to fight against the inescapable, or to surrender to the abyss that seeks to claim them, body and soul.
