The Rage Within

THE RAGE WITHIN

There burns inside the human mind a rage so powerful -- so potent – that once released – it becomes uncontrollable – irrepressible.  It takes the form of lust – of greed – of arrogance – and consumes the very air that sustains the beast within that roams and rambles through the corridors of a primeval mind – searching – hunting – stalking.

Humanity – but savages in Armani suits and Versace gowns.  Clothed and garbed in silk and satin – cotton, flax and hemp – to hide the beastly stench of human stains and scars from combat and hostility with our fellow man.  Cannibalistic by nature – homicidal by design.  And deceitful and cunning by instinct.  One moment appeased by the beauty of sound – of art or words that emote.  The next – incensed and enraged by marginal lines and provocative minds that intimidate – torment – or terrorize – the status quo of acceptable behavior – or acceptable state of affairs – because of lust – greed – or arrogance.

And it is in a fit of anger – of rage – or exasperation – that man turns the mind into a rabid weapon – devoid of reason or logic – accessorized with armies and cavalries of men, women and children – ready to march – ready to sacrifice – ready to die. 

And it only takes madmen like Genghis Khan – Adolf Hitler – Saddam Hussein – Idi Amin.  And scoundrels, rogues, frauds and plain ordinary villains like Ayatollah Khomeini – Charles Manson -- Jim Jones – David Koresh – to name just a few – to tap into -- and tamper, damage and corrupt the primeval mind of man – to turn them into societal and suicidal thinking -- walking – talking weapons.  Walking zombies without conscience -- without understanding or comprehension – and without pity or regret.

Just release the beast within – and the rest comes naturally – intuitively.  Just look around today – in the 21^stCentury – the age of information – at how one BIG lie can change the world.  A lie begets conspiracies – a conspiracy begets a movement – a movement begets an insurrection – and an insurrection begets a war. 

And the cycle of rage and greed and arrogance -- powerful and potent – uncontrollable and irrepressible – continues its decimation of human potential – of human inspiration – and of human aspiration.  And the beast within roars again its menacing primordial rumble -- in an asphalt jungle of tumbling towers – plummeting morals – and toppling principles.

Welcome to the world of madmen – of scoundrels – of rogues – of frauds -- and of plain ordinary villains.  A haze and maze of smoke and mirrors – and nothing more – and nothing more.
