The poem captures the transformative power of a new day, where the rising sun dispels darkness and kindles warmth and inspiration, inviting us to embrace the light and potential of each morning.

Florida Sunrise

Seeing the sun slowly rise,
Leaves darkness in a juggernaut,
As the sun slowly rises,
Darkness retreats in kind.

Why are we obsessed with darkness?
Our cold and dreary minds,
Being out on this back porch,
Nothing becomes blind.

I can feel the heat,
As the light begins to flow,
Like water in a river,
My skin warms with a light glow.

Oh beautiful morning,
Rising sun in glory,
Come heat my day,
And help me build my story.
