Somehow
Despite the odds,
This world keeps spinning
around.
And as it turns
people doubt
That it was made at all.
People doubt.
Somehow
They claim
A happy accident of sorts-
Coincidence,
But I don’t believe in those anymore;
Twists of fate,
When the stars align-
That’s what they say,
But I refuse to trust in such shifting sand.
I refuse to sell my name;
To learn more of my “destiny”
And by it be easily swayed.
I refuse to lay to rest
The question of eternity
And gamble
On where the dice may or may not land.
No, I wouldn’t be able to rest if I
Left it all up to that-
But I can show you
A more excellent way;
One that few are willing to take.
Jesus said the path is narrow;
And it's the only true way.
The sands will shift,
The seas will roar-
So don't find yourself caught in between the
Rocks and the shore.
God has already taken the rocks and built a path-
One that's safe and secure.
Why make one of your own
In search of various remedies
When He has already provided the cure?
Do not to drown in indecision-
I suggest
simply to trust in Him
And put your mind at ease
Regarding death and
Where you'll end up spending
All of eternity
