A poem that transcends all global societies, exploring the inner turmoil and struggles of a person who feels overwhelmed by life's challenges and ultimately makes the fateful decision to end their suffering. The poem is intended to raise awareness and questions about the nature of resilience, hope, and the limitations of human endurance. Please remember to be kind and compassionate to others.

Alas, when a troubled mind decides to self-kill,

A darkness descends, overcoming their will.

All life long, trying to do their best,

And forever feeling they failed that test.

However, for them, that was all in vain.

For every effort to do good did contest,

Against an inner darkness, again and again,

Stirring an internal struggle, a relentless unrest.

What could be the source for this condition,

Laying deep within one's state of perception.

Of the plethora of sources stimulating such unease,

Inflicting on its host, an all-consuming mental disease.

Ruminating on this illness, might yield a mirrored reflection,

And a reminder of life's tenuous inter-connection.

Offer support, any way you can, extend a helping hand,

To those amongst us in need, across our troubled land.
