Saudade

It's been a long time since you've been gone. 

You left me when we were so young 

But I still miss you.

I search for you in everything I do 

Desiring to see that version of you again. 

Desiring to feel loved the way you loved me before.

 But now when i'm placed in front of a mirror I can't even recognize you. 

You've loved me a little less and judged me a little more. 

However,  even through the pain you put me through I still attempt to bring you back to me

To be proud of who i've become now

But at the end of the day you are lost in the past. 

So I’ll keep looking at your face in the reflection till I find you again.
