The final battle

I'm fighting a war I can't win

A silent battle beneath my skin 

Screaming internally, for help

but the only sound being returned

is that of the ghosts that reside within

Hollow echoes are projected back at me 

mocking my calls 

I'm alone in this war 

Fighting daily against the army of soldiers 

sent to destroy me 

every scar hidden from the light

I live in darkness 

Fighting a war, with no physical enemies 

but very real scars 

Im too busy

trying to keep them hidden 

I have no idea, 

the army was sent from within
