Chapter 13: the truth

Sophie led a strike team on a mission to take out a Orc leader on an Ice planet Thinking that it was just another mission only for this to be dispelled soon after landing near te landing site lay Orc bodies that had elven body features Sophie used a scanner device and they shoed to be almost fifty percent elf. All through her life she had been told that orcs were mutated elves she dissmissed them all but was now beginning to beleive they were right. The evidence was right around her and her team and it all pointed to a terible truth many years of war and terror could have all started because of an act of evil so big it was covred up and the elven empire ould be to blame what could be worse is that covering it up only mde things worse

How long ago did thius happen who was responsible and why was it covered up? and why hasnt any orc or elf tried to expose this . "we continue the misson but this will not be ignored it will be reported and made public knowledge." Sophie stated wit conviction whilst her team silently agreed. Unfortunatly someone else had othr ideas someone who knew that Sophe would find out the truthand wants to keep it secret for longer as soon as she stated her intentions she and her squad were ambushed and was forced to flee and abandon the mission whilst not knowing where to flee to or who to trust.they left the planet in a ceta class escape vehicle and barely made it away from the attackers. Sophie did not trust the people who assigned her and her squad to the task but had no option but to return to them on the space station.

up on arrival sophie and her squad relinquished their weapons to conform to protocall not letting on to what happened Sophie had a plan to exose those responsible. Due to the mission faliure the debreif woud be longer and during her interveiw she would show something that would ensure those who called for the ambush would face swift punishment if found guilty of covering up historic atrocities or ordering for  someone to be killed they would be sentenced to the rest of ther life in prison if a member of Sophies squad had been killed or the atrocity was on going they would be sentenced to death.

When sophie handed over information showing the mission to be destined to fail from tghe start the target had left the planet before Sophie and her squad arrived and someone knew already someone alerted them and since they alerted him they must also know something about the planet and what was happening and also what happened and when Sophie followed this up by showing evidence of what happened everyone linked to the mission been given the green light were arrested and the Elven empire began to investigate itself leading to stories of long forgotten wars between Elven planets lies that had been seen as true for years were torn apart by one discovery on a mission doomed to fail before it began

To confirm that what they had learned was indeed true they invited orcs from all parts of the galaxy to sacan for elven dna. Many came but many also chose not to. Trust between orcs and elves was low but when test results showed that orcs were indeed mutated elves things got even worse questions of what happened who was at fault how and why it was covered how long had it been going on for all evidence pointed to the Elven empire emperor and empres but the evidence also links them to worse things leading to the descision to end the days of empire ane the labeling of the emperor and empress as war criminals arecorded confesio sealed their fates they were sentenced to death

As the empire became a republic however their fates became less curtaain as some leaders and a lot of voters wanted to abolish the dearh penalty and creating a cure for the problems caused fro many years of war was way more important tyhan finding the former leaders If they were caught there was now a chance they would get life in prison instead of death it depended on what planet they were caught on, over the span of mere months the hurt caused by many years of war nd death started to healcures were developed bitterness was cast aside and a bright future dawned
