Chapter 12: escalation

Sophie sat in the bridge whilst receiving information from the elven council diusturbing information that someone was plotting against her and that there was a traitor amongst her crew advising her to be careful of who she trusted. Tensions between elves and orcs was at an all time high and extremists on both sides as wellas human extremists were seemingly hell bent on starting an all out galatic war that would leave billions dead and could possibly lead to the extintion of humanity

over the next few weeks there would be talks held that would opefully lead to calmer heads prevailing but Sophie was under no illusion that this was certain tye extremists mostly humans were planning an attack on the confrence this would seal the fate of their kind but they were deluded into thinking they could win this illusion was soon to be shattered.

The orc legion had built in secret a weapon un like any other an antimatter bomb it exploded ever as planned or by accident either way the human population was once again decimated and many orcs and elves also perished the exact total death toll was unknown and there was no way for sure to ever find out the number was deffinatly in the billions though.

No one claimed responsibility for the explosion and the Orc legion tried to claim it was a powerplant and this was partialy tue it was a plant making antimatter bombs an entire star system had been wiped out destroyed and left uninhabitable forever it took the use of the most powerfull force field in the galaxy to prevent the destruction from spreading further. once it had been contained an enquirery into what happened began several high ranking members of the orc legion were arrested including the owner of the powerplant this in turn led to demands for them to be released.

Sophie was ment to be a key negotiatorbut became faint and fell to the grouns when she woke up she was in a hospital and the negotiations had failed Sophie had been poisoned and the person responsible was punished Sophie realiesed her dream was real she was in the realm of the dead and was talking to the personwho did this to her as well as the man she punished forte recent mass shooting. not Knowing how long she had been out Sophie wanted to get back and help negotiate peace only to be told that the Orc legion insist that all prisoners are tob be released and the Elven empire council was seeking the death penalty for all of them the Orc legion had been taken over by extremists in a coup and all out war seemed inevitable the elven empire and Orc legion ere already in a cold war but they were now on the brink of a very hot war only for more news emmerging that suggested that the Orcs were fighting a civil war and the Elves were ordered to stand aside and let them fight all elves were prohibited from getting involved on behlf of either side instead the Elven empire council came up with two plans one for each scenario for how to deal with who wins the Orc civil war
