Chapter 11: powerplay

two omega class star shipstravel in close proximity travelling between the same two star systems a rare occasion one of them was listed as civilian and was forbidden from carrying all but light weapons for security officers The other was a orc warship hevily armoured and carried heavy weapons the civilian ship was mostly used as an  outer space shopping centre there were living quarters but they were used mostly by crew members and people stayin overnight after mussing their transportation home The warship ewasa just a warship all otheer information was a top secret. on the civilian ship people went about their day when a warning siren sounded as its captain was informed by an unknown source that the wasrship should not have been there everything closed down and people prepared to evacuate 

On the warship the Orc ccommmander sat on a throne whilst his catain flew the ship aparently awaiting orders his commander had expressed desire to take back treitory from the elves and before he could do that he would need to overthrow the orc leaders he was demented behind the coomanders muscular build lay dark unquenchable desires no mattere what the orc legion gave him it was not enough in his mind the orcs were being held baxk by the elves but in reality he just wanted an exuse to justifu attacking elves and orcs with more power than him.

biceps bulged as he tried to contain his rage before ordering his crew to open fire. thy refused he gave the order again and they refused again. Moments later the lights went out and they stoayed out the shipopend fire on the civilian ship causing critical damage in various places the lights came back on and the commander had left his attack was seen and now he had fleed with his pilot holding a smoking gun with dead creew members arround him the controls were locked he could not fly away and the ship was surrounded by elven and orc patroll ships. the vetreran pilot threw away the empty gun and waited for them to take him throwing away the gun spared him from a live execution and ensured he would be taken in and put on trial but by who. If the orc took him theey would put the event down to atechinical fault and force him into retirement he would only face a severe punishment if the elves or humans investigated and appealed and since the humans lack the ablility to investigate and the elves consider the orcs methods of execution as barbaric they would likely not get involved. If the elves took him in his fate was sealed and he would have been better off not disposing of the gun at least if he had kept hold of the gun his end would have came quikly now he was hoping that the right side took him. 

Things were happening between the elves and orcs negotiations and sharing of information wich led tho the elves finding out that the ships commandef hqd previously attempted a coupThe orcs would prioritise finding him and the elves could take the ship as long as they handed it back to the orc legion. From this point on the control of the mission was handed to Sophie who led a squad of elves on bord they docked and the air lock was opened remotley they scanned for data as crew members pleaded for mercy Sophie ordered her team to lower their weapons and take them in something did not add up they claimed to be innocent but someone must have been working with the rogue commander and pilot someone who had access to the gun turrets and misiles and until Sophie knew who that was everyone wa a suspect so they weree all taken in. as thgey progresed 5hrougth the ship they discovered audio logs of the commander showing signes of a demented state signes of paranoia and also signes of poisoning loke someone had infected him with a slow working poisin that erroded his mind there was wide spread report of a highly effective but dangerous sterod lke substance that as well as giving someone a muscular apperance had the down side of ruining their mind did he take the drug on purpose or was he spiked over time?

The elven squad led by commander Sophie scanned the ship for evidence to determine one way or the other. The pilot of the ship approached with hands up telling the squad that the weapons fired by accident due to techinical error the elves knew he was lying but did not know the truth. Sophie detected undisputible evidence of tampering and insidted that the pilot allowed them to investigate to the bridgeat wich point he confessed to everything. He was executed on the spot the moment his confession was varified This was Sophies first direct kill as a member of a firing squad he confessed hoping to avoid such fate but he was guilty of multiple pre meditated murders one count of treason and one act of inticeing wat plus other crimes
