My sentiments upon learning the repudiation of witnesses in the impeachment trial.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE, HEAR YE

Our beloved Constitution is on its deathbed,

The first time in our history’s homestead.

Derailed from within,

From what it has always been.

A beacon of hope and dreams,

Ransacked ruthlessly by schemes.

Blinded by greed and power,

Condoned by all who cower.

The one who leads; his soul is dark,

Infecting others with his mark.

Caring not for any other,

Justice and pride; he will smother.

The fathers of our country aspired,

To establish principles required,

To live free as fellow migrants,

And guard against evil tyrants.

What would they say in this day in age,

Amidst this prevalent outrage?

How would they stop those who hate,

And lie, and cheat, to desecrate?

If only our founders were here,

To restore what was once held dear.

Our beloved Constitution is on its deathbed,

The first time in our history’s homestead.

The Democrats hate President Donald J Trump.
He was democratically elected.
A great, well written, poem.
